Why This Turnout Blanket Works

• 1200-denier breathable ripstop outer shell resists tearing during turnout movement and blocks water penetration
• 300-gram Polygood poly fill provides consistent insulation on cold nights without restricting shoulder movement
• Double-stitched, taped, and reinforced seams add structural durability through repeated washing and hard seasonal use
• Fleece wither lining and shoulder gussets reduce rub points that cause hair loss in long-term wearers

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I measure my horse for a turnout blanket?

Measure from the center of your horse's chest, along the side of the body, to the center of the tail. This measurement in inches is your blanket size. If your horse falls between sizes, choose the next size up for freedom of movement. For example, a horse measuring 76 inches should select size 75 from this product's available sizes.

Is this a fly sheet or a turnout blanket?

This is a winter turnout blanket, not a fly sheet. Turnout blankets provide insulation and waterproof protection against cold, rain, and snow. Fly sheets are lightweight mesh sheets designed to protect horses from insects and UV rays during warmer months. These are two completely different products for different seasonal needs.

What fill weight does this HILASON turnout blanket use?

This blanket is filled with 300-gram Polygood poly fill, which provides substantial insulation for cold winter nights and outdoor turnout in wet or freezing conditions. It is suited for horses kept in open pastures during cold weather rather than mild temperatures.

Does this turnout blanket include the neck cover and belly wrap?

Yes. This listing includes the blanket body, the neck cover, and the belly wrap as a complete system. The neck cover attaches to the dee rings on both sides of the blanket for secure positioning, and the belly wrap extends coverage to the underline for protection that body-only blankets do not provide.

Can this horse blanket be used in rain as well as cold dry weather?

Yes. The 1200-denier ripstop outer shell is both waterproof and breathable, making this winter horse blanket suitable for wet, snowy, and windy conditions. The breathable construction allows moisture vapor to escape so the horse stays dry from the inside and outside simultaneously.

How do I attach the neck cover to this turnout blanket?

The neck cover connects to dee rings located on both sides of the blanket body at the shoulder area. This attachment system allows the neck cover to stay aligned with the blanket during active turnout movement and can be detached quickly when conditions do not require full neck coverage.
