Frequently Asked Questions
How do I measure my horse for the correct fly sheet size?
Measure your horse from the center of the chest to the point of the hip along the side of the body. This measurement in inches corresponds to the fly sheet size. If your horse measures between sizes (for example, 70 inches), select the closest available size (69 inches). The expandable front shoulder panel will help adjust the fit.
Is this fly sheet good for summer turnout protection?
Yes, this HILASON mesh fly sheet is specifically designed for summer and spring turnout. The breathable poly/nylon mesh blocks flies and mosquitoes while allowing airflow to prevent overheating. UV protection shields your horse from harmful sun during warm weather grazing.
What is this fly sheet made from?
The fly sheet is constructed from durable poly/nylon mesh material. This breathable fabric allows air circulation while blocking flying insects and providing UV shielding. The mesh design prevents overheating during warm weather use while offering reliable fly and mosquito protection.
Does this fly sheet include a neck cover?
A neck cover may be included as a complimentary accessory, but it is not guaranteed and fit may vary by horse. Check your product details or contact sales@hilason.com to confirm what is included with your specific order.
What is the difference between a fly sheet and a turnout blanket?
A fly sheet is a lightweight mesh garment designed for warm weather to protect against flying insects and UV rays while maintaining airflow. A turnout blanket is a heavier, insulated covering used in cold weather for warmth and rain protection. These serve different purposes and should not be used interchangeably.
