Frequently Asked Questions
What material are these youth saddle fenders made from?
These replacement fenders are made from Cordura fabric, a durable synthetic material that resists abrasion and wear. Cordura is ideal for youth saddle fenders because it maintains its shape through regular riding and withstands repeated adjustments without tearing or breaking down.
Will these fenders fit my youth saddle?
These Great American replacement fenders feature a 2-inch-wide design with pre-punched adjustment holes that fit most youth western saddles. The adjustable range is 18 to 25 inches. Check your saddle's fender attachment style and size range before ordering to ensure compatibility.
What are Blevins buckles and why do they matter?
Blevins buckles are quick-change buckles that allow you to attach or remove fenders without using tools. They're valuable for young riders with multiple saddles or barns that share equipment, as they speed up saddle transitions and reduce wear on attachment points.
Are the hobble straps included?
Yes, matching hobble straps are included with this fender pair. Hobble straps connect the bottom of the fenders to the saddle's cinch ring, preventing the fenders from shifting or swinging during riding and improving stability and safety.
Can these fenders be used for trail riding and ranch work?
Yes, these youth saddle replacement fenders are suitable for trail riding, western pleasure riding, and general ranch work. The durable Cordura construction and secure hobble straps keep them stable during various riding activities and everyday barn use.
