Frequently Asked Questions
How do I measure my horse for a draft-size fly mask?
Measure from the poll (between the ears) to the tip of the nose. Draft size typically fits horses with a measurement of 34-36 inches. Refer to the Cashel sizing chart for best results.
Is this fly mask washable?
Yes, hand wash in cold water with mild soap and air dry. Avoid machine washing or using bleach to maintain the fabric and elasticity.
Does this mask cover the ears?
No, this is a 'no ears' style. It does not include ear covers, making it a good choice for horses that dislike ear coverage. The mask sits comfortably away from the ears.
Can I use this fly mask with a halter?
Yes, the mask is designed to fit under most halters. It has adjustable closures to secure it around the head without interfering with halter placement.
What horses fit a draft-size mask?
Draft size fits large breeds such as Clydesdales, Shires, Percherons, and Belgian Drafts. It also may fit warmbloods and larger horse head sizes.
Does this mask offer UV protection?
Yes, the lightweight fabric blocks harmful UV rays, helping to prevent sunburn and reduce the risk of eye conditions caused by sun exposure.
