DESCRIPTION
  • Ported Chain Mouthpiece: The ported chain mouthpiece consists of a curved bar with a raised center portion (the port) that allows more room for the horse's tongue. This design helps reduce pressure points on the tongue, making it suitable for horses with sensitive mouths.
  • Pressure Distribution: The ported chain mouthpiece applies pressure to the bars of the horse's mouth, the tongue, and the chin groove. This distribution of pressure enables precise communication cues from the rider's hands, promoting better control and responsiveness.
  • Curb Action: The curb bit design incorporates leverage by utilizing the chin groove as a pivot point. When the rider engages the reins, the bit rotates slightly in the horse's mouth, applying pressure to the chin and encouraging the horse to lower its head and collect.
  • Signal Clarity: The combination of ported mouthpiece and chain design enhances signal clarity, allowing subtle cues from the rider to be conveyed effectively. This makes the bit suitable for refining advanced riding maneuvers and transitions.
  • Western Riding Discipline: The Professional Choice PORTED CHAIN Western Horse Curb Bit is well-suited for Western riding disciplines, such as reining, cutting, and Western pleasure. Its design complements the traditional Western riding style and aids in achieving the desired head carriage and responsiveness.
