The flank cinch provides stability to the saddle and should be snug (not tight) against the horse.
A rule of thumb is to be able to slip two fingers between the flank and the horse at the apex of the belly. It should not be loose or hang below the horses belly a loose flank cinch is a danger to horse and rider.
Always use the connecting strap between the front and rear cinches to position the flank cinch properly and prevent it from becoming a bucking strap.
Returns must be requested within 30 days of delivery and approved with a Return Authorization before anything is sent back (email sales@hilason.com or call 1-888-HILASON). Items must be unused, undamaged and in original packaging, and are accepted for poor fit or a manufacturing fault. Clearance and Final Sale items, bits, fly sheets, custom orders and international orders are final sale. Original shipping is non-refundable; return shipping is paid by the customer except on items that arrived faulty. A restocking fee may apply, except on winter horse blankets, neck covers and Hilason saddles.
