Frequently Asked Questions
Is this a turnout blanket or a fly sheet?
This is a lightweight fly sheet, not a turnout blanket. Fly sheets are designed for summer protection against insects and sun, while turnout blankets provide warmth in cold weather. They serve different purposes and should not be used interchangeably.
How do I measure my horse for a fly sheet?
Measure from the center of your horse's chest, along the side of the body, to the point of the buttock. This measurement in inches corresponds to the sheet size. For most average horses, a 78-inch sheet fits well. Always check the specific sizing chart for the Cashel Crusader.
What material is this fly sheet made from?
The Cashel Crusader fly sheet is made from breathable mesh fabric that allows airflow while blocking insects and UV rays. It is lightweight and designed for hot weather use.
Can this fly sheet be used in the stable as well as turnout?
Yes, the Cashel Crusader fly sheet works well for pasture turnout, stable use, and even during trailering. Its breathable mesh keeps horses cool indoors and out.
How do I care for this fly sheet?
Machine wash on a gentle cycle with mild detergent and hang to dry. Avoid fabric softeners which can reduce breathability. Check for loose threads or tears after each use.
