30 X Inch Classic Equine Contourpedic Western Horse Saddle Pad Black
Classic Equine Contourpedic Western Saddle Pad – Western Saddle Pad
This Classic Equine Contourpedic western saddle pad combines a 1/8-inch wool felt top with a 3/4-inch closed-cell foam bottom that is antifungal and antibacterial, helping the horse's back cool naturally. The split design allows the pad to move with the horse, while the cutout over the withers reduces pressure and improves fit. Whether you ride trail, barrel race, or work cattle, this pad delivers consistent comfort and protection.
Why It Works
- Wool felt top absorbs shock and wicks moisture away from the horse's back.
- Closed-cell foam layer prevents bacterial and fungal growth, keeping the pad fresh ride after ride.
- Contoured wither cutout and split design let the saddle sit closer and move freely.
- Built for daily barn use without the premium price tag.
Best For
- Trail rides, barrel racing, roping, and ranch work.
- Riders who want a reliable pad they can use alone or under a blanket.
- Horses with high withers or sensitive backs needing extra clearance.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Contourpedic design?
The Contourpedic design uses a contoured shape with a cutout over the withers and a split at the cinch area, allowing the pad to conform to the horse's back and the saddle.
Is this pad suitable for horses with high withers?
Yes, the wither cutout provides clearance for high withers, reducing pressure and improving saddle fit.
Can I use this pad alone or under a blanket?
Yes, the pad is designed to be used alone directly under the saddle, or under a western blanket for extra cushioning.
What size is this pad and what saddle sizes does it fit?
The pad is 30 x 30 inches, which fits most standard western saddles (sizes 14-17 inches).
How do I clean this saddle pad?
Hand wash with mild soap and cold water, then air dry. Do not machine wash or bleach, as this may damage the wool felt and foam.
