Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between a horse fly sheet and a turnout blanket?

A horse fly sheet is a warm-season mesh garment designed specifically to block flies, mosquitoes, and UV rays while keeping your horse cool and comfortable outdoors. A turnout blanket is a completely different product built for cold weather insulation and rain protection. They serve different purposes and should not be used interchangeably.

How do I measure my horse for a fly sheet?

Measure your horse from the center of the chest, along the side of the body, to the center of the tail. That measurement in inches is your horse's sheet size. If your horse falls between sizes - for example 70 inches - select the nearest available size such as 69 inches. The expandable front shoulder panel on this Hilason fly sheet helps achieve a comfortable fit.

Does this Hilason fly sheet provide UV protection?

Yes. The poly/nylon mesh fabric on this Hilason horse fly sheet is specifically designed to filter harmful UV rays in addition to blocking flies and mosquitoes. It is ideal for horses turned out during peak summer sun hours where prolonged UV exposure can affect coat color and skin health.

What sizes does this horse fly sheet come in?

This Hilason fly sheet is available in sizes 66, 69, 72, 75, 78, and 81 inches. If your horse measures between listed sizes, select the closest available size. The expandable front shoulder panel assists with achieving a secure and comfortable fit across a range of body types.

Does this fly sheet include a neck cover?

A neck cover is not a guaranteed standard component of this fly sheet and may vary in fit or inclusion. If a neck cover is included with your order, it is provided as a complimentary accessory only and is not a guaranteed part of the product.

Can I return this horse fly sheet if it does not fit?

All Hilason horse fly sheets are final sale. No returns, exchanges, or refunds are accepted. Please carefully measure your horse before purchasing and review the sizing guide.
