Frequently Asked Questions
Is this fly mask made from real leather?
No, the Cashel Comfort Crusader Standard Fly Mask is made from soft coated nylon micro mesh, not leather. This material is lightweight, breathable, and blocks 70% of UV rays while being gentle on the horse's face.
How do I measure my horse for the weanling/small pony size?
Measure from the center of the forehead (between the eyes) to the tip of the nose. For weanling/small pony size, this measurement generally falls between 10 and 12 inches. Always refer to the manufacturer's sizing chart for the best fit.
Can this fly mask be used for trailering or stable use?
Yes, the patented three-hole cap helps the mask stay in place during trailering and stable turnout. It is designed for both pasture and stalled environments, providing reliable fly and UV protection.
How should I clean this fly mask?
Hand wash the mask in cool water with mild soap. Rinse thoroughly and air dry. Avoid machine washing or harsh detergents to preserve the nylon mesh and UV coating. The mask is durable and can be cleaned repeatedly.
