How to Measure Your Dog’s Neck
Wrap a soft tape around the base of your dog’s neck where the collar naturally sits, then add two inches. You should be able to slide two fingers between the collar and the neck — snug enough not to slip over the ears, loose enough not to press. Order by that measurement in inches, not by your dog’s weight or breed.
Growing puppy? Buy for the neck they have now, not the one they will have. A collar that is too large can be pulled over the head or catch on things, which is more dangerous than replacing it in six months.
