The twisted mouthpiece distributes pressure evenly across multiple contact points for balanced control.
Is this horse bit stainless steel and will it rust?
Yes, the HILASON gag bit is made from solid stainless steel, which is rust-resistant and durable. The smooth finish resists corrosion from sweat, moisture, and outdoor exposure, making it ideal for daily barn use and long-term durability without special maintenance.
What horses is this twisted snaffle bit best for?
This gag bit works well for horses with large tongues or those that evade tongue pressure. The loose ring design and twisted mouthpiece are suitable for general western training, flat work, hacking, faster work, and riders seeking balanced control with comfort for their horse.
What are the dimensions of this horse bit and will it fit my horse?
The cheek size is 3 inches and the mouth size is 5 1/4 inches. This size fits most horses, though individual anatomy varies. If your horse has a particularly small or large mouth, consult with your trainer or tack specialist to ensure proper fit before purchase.
How do I clean and maintain this stainless steel bit?
