5" Trotting Bit Mouth Copper Jointed Mouth Side Stainless Steel
The 5" Trotting Bit with Copper Jointed Mouth and Stainless Steel Sides is a versatile bit commonly used for trotting horses in harness racing or other equestrian disciplines. The 5-inch mouthpiece is crafted from copper, which encourages salivation, softens the horse's mouth, and promotes a more responsive connection between the horse and rider or driver.
The jointed mouthpiece provides a "nutcracker" effect, applying pressure to the horse's bars and tongue, while also allowing independent movement of each side, which helps with lateral control. This feature makes it easier to guide and communicate with the horse, especially during precise movements such as turns.
The stainless steel sides are durable, resistant to rust, and add strength to the bit, ensuring long-lasting performance even with frequent use. This bit is designed to offer moderate pressure and control, making it ideal for horses that are accustomed to bit pressure but still need clear guidance from the rider or driver.
