The broken snaffle design suits horses that respond well to mild, responsive snaffle action and benefit from gentle guidance and precision rein aids.
What is the mouthpiece made of and what size is it?

Will the O rings rust and how do I maintain this bit?
The O rings are made of stainless steel and measure 2.35 inches in diameter. Stainless steel resists rust and corrosion through regular use. Simply wipe with a soft cloth after rides - no special products or treatments needed to keep the bit in peak condition.
How does the broken snaffle design differ from a solid snaffle bit?
A broken snaffle has a center joint that creates gentle nutcracker action, offering more communication and control than a solid snaffle. This responsive yet soft design is ideal for horses needing guidance and precision without harsh pressure or excessive tongue pressure.
Is this bit suitable for western riders and ranch work?
Yes. The BAR H EQUINE broken snaffle bit is perfect for western trail riding, pleasure riding, and ranch work. The stainless steel O rings enable direct rein aids for responsive horse control, while the brass mouthpiece and gentle broken snaffle design suit both trail and daily barn handling.
