Frequently Asked Questions
What is a nylon trailer tie used for?
A nylon trailer tie is a short strap that connects your horse's halter to a ring inside the trailer, keeping the horse positioned while you haul. This Hilason trailer tie has snap hardware at both ends and a slide buckle, so you can clip it on quickly and set the length you need for loading and travel.
Is this horse trailer tie adjustable?
Yes. The strap includes an oval slide buckle that lets you shorten or lengthen the tie to suit your horse and your trailer layout. This makes it useful for different horses and different rigs. Exact minimum and maximum lengths vary by style, so check the product details for the specific measurements before ordering.
What is this Hilason trailer tie made from?
The strap is nylon, shown in black, with snap hardware on each end and a slide buckle for adjustment. The listing does not specify the hardware metal or the strap width, so check the product details for exact specifications. Nylon is a common choice for horse trailer ties because it is lightweight and suited to repeated use.
Can I use this trailer tie at the barn or only in the trailer?
It is designed as a trailer tie, but many riders also keep one handy at the barn, at horse shows, and on trail ride stops for short-term tying and handling. Always tie to a secure point, supervise your horse, and follow your own safety practices for the setting and the horse's temperament.
Is this trailer tie a good value for everyday hauling?
Yes. Hilason focuses on professional quality without the premium price tag, and this adjustable nylon trailer tie is an economical way to equip your trailer. Many owners buy a spare so they always have a backup in the truck or tack room. It is built for repeated clipping and seasons of regular use.
