Frequently Asked Questions
What is this horse lead rope made of?
This Hilason horse lead rope is made from polypropylene, a material that offers strength and durability while staying lightweight and easy to handle. The rope is braided with reinforced ends to help prevent fraying, so it holds up to daily leading, tying, lunging and groundwork at the barn or out on the trail.
How long is the Hilason lead rope?
This Hilason horse lead rope has a standard length of 9 feet. That gives you ample reach for leading, tying, lunging and ground driving, plus enough room for groundwork exercises such as yielding and backing. Check the product details for any additional measurements, such as rope diameter, before ordering for a specific use.
Can I use this lead rope for lunging and groundwork?
Yes. This 9 ft lead rope is suited to lunging, ground driving and desensitization, yielding and backing exercises. The lightweight polypropylene braid is comfortable to grip, which helps during longer training sessions. It also works for everyday leading and tying, so one rope covers most barn handling and groundwork tasks.
Is this horse lead rope weather resistant?
Yes. The polypropylene rope resists moisture and UV rays, making it suitable for outdoor use in changing weather, such as pasture turnout, wash rack handling and groundwork sessions. Like any rope, rinse off mud and let it air dry between uses and store it out of constant direct sun to extend its working life.
What color is the Hilason 9 ft lead rope?
The rope in the listing images is a two-tone braid, so refer to the product photos for the exact color pattern you will receive. The source description notes Black/Lime and also mentions availability in a range of colors, so check the listing details at checkout for the current color before you order.
